Nursing Mama ~ Breastfeeding Tea
Our Nursing Mama tea is loaded with galactagogues such as nettle, fennel seeds and alfalfa, three powerful herbs that help increase breastmilk supply and enrich its nutritional content. It also provides postpartum support for new moms by reducing fatigue, nourishing the body with balancing herbs as it goes through hormonal fluctuations, and improving the mood. This herbal tea blend was created with the nutritional needs of new mothers in mind.
Nettle: Nourishing and mineralizing herb recommended for lactating women. Rich source of B vitamins, vitamins C, A, K and minerals (calcium, iron, magnesium). Helps stimulate breast milk production and increase energy.
Red Raspberry Leaf: High in magnesium, potassium, iron, folic acid, and B vitamins. Helps increase breast milk supply, help the uterus return to pre-pregnancy size, balance hormones and reduce the risk and severity of postpartum depression
Oatstraw: Rich source of vitamins A, B1 and D, calcium, magnesium, iron and phosphorus. Contains more protein than any other cereal, helps nourish the body and increase breast milk supply.
Chamomile: Soothing and relaxing herb. Helps improve sleep and calm the nervous system, reduce anxiety, relieve bloating and digestive issues common after childbirth, and boost the immune system.
Fennel seeds: Lactogenic herb used since ancient times to increase breastmilk supply. Rich in calcium, vitamin C, and flavonoids. Combines well with other galactagogues. Helps relieve colic in infants.
Add 1 tbsp. of tea to 8 oz of boiling water. Cover and steep for 10-15 minutes. Strain and drink 2 to 4 cups per day to increase milk supply.
